Legacies

Legacy gifts are enormously important to Radiomarathon in helping us continue our work supporting people with learning disabilities. You can leave a legacy by including us in your will.

The way you word your will is very important – we always recommend professional advice to make or change a will. If you wish to support our work with a RESIDUARY BEQUEST (where we receive anything left over after your estate has been distributed among your nominated beneficiaries) then use the wording:

“I give the residue of my estate to Radiomarathon Ltd, 188 Turkey Street, Enfield, EN1 4NW, for the relief of people with learning disabilities, to be used where the Trustees see the greatest need. I further direct that the receipt of the Treasurer, Secretary or other proper officer of Radiomarathon Ltd for the time being shall be a full and sufficient discharge for the said Legacy”

If you wish to make a PECUNIARY or SPECIFIC BEQUEST (whereby you would leave us either a specified sum or an object of value) use the wording:

“I give the sum of (amount) pounds to Radiomarathon Ltd, 188 Turkey Street, Enfield, EN1 4NW, for the relief of people with learning disabilities, to be used where the Trustees see the greatest need. I further direct that the receipt of the Treasurer, Secretary or other proper officer of Radiomarathon Ltd for the time being shall be a full and sufficient discharge for the said Legacy.”
